Our state of mind is intimately related to the production of hormones that are produced in the endocrine glands. Brain neural responses are triggered by hormonal secretion from those glands, which directly influence our moods and emotions, and prepare our organism for its behavioral engagement. How can we control negative emotions and connect with states of consciousness that are beyond the limitations of the mind? Through a new understanding of how body, mind and spirit interact, the new science of Biopsychology has evolved. Biopsychology blends eastern philosophies, (including ancient Tantric practices),with western philosophies. Practices include exercises of Yoga postures, Mudras and Bandhas (Locks) and dances that mobilize the body, reducing the impact of negative emotions and stimulating positive emotions. Our thinking is not confined to the mundane realities. It is capable of transmutations and diversions. Although most of us remain absorbed in the pursuit of mundane needs all our lives, every now and then we see individuals transforming completely into social reformers or religious saints. The analytical thinking has either positive or negative outcomes, whereas synthetic thinking of yogis has only positive effects. Some great scientists of the past, like Albert Einstein after following the materialistic theories for decades have turned to the spiritual explanations of this universe. Some of Einstein's statements point to such transmutations in his thinking process. The process of psychic transmutations and diversions, however, usually occurs gradually. In this, a particular system of thinking is followed with intense concentration. About this workshop This will be an introduction to PramaYoga. The Emphasis is to create a new understanding how different physico-mental techniques can correct unbalanced Chakras and endocrine glands, balancing the mind and fostering the process of self-realization. Yoga postures for Manipura Chakra Yoga postures for Anahata Chakra Yoga postures for Ajina Chakra Yoga postures for better concentration and memory Yoga Nidra: learn the art to sleep and dream consciously. Through the practice ofYoga-Nidra, we are not only relaxing, but restructuring our brain. Old habitsand tendencies that are usually hard to give up, get transformed more easily. This process is not only much quicker than other systems, which work on anexternal basis only, but the results are also more reliable and permanent. Meditative Hatha Yoga: here we combine traditional Hatha Yoga with mental ideation and visualization. Postures are held for an extended time.
